Who thinks Mastermind Groups are important? Well….I…Do! The every day distraction that people deem to be important are really not that important? The more distraction….the more disconnect…the less intelligent…the more problems….the more dysfunction…more violence….more anger….more depression….more doctor appointments. I wonder why we feel overwhelmed? Are you confused? Oh no “Tony Robbins explains,” You are about to learn something when you say your are confused? Identify the conflicts? What is most important to you? Align your life what is important to you? How are you going to get there in all areas of your life if you are distracted and disconnected? Yes..you may all say that you are connected to your palm, smart phone, Television, Radio….etc. Are you really??? Let me know what you think of Mastermind Groups? Your mentors….your life coaches? There are many kinds of groups? Are we really connected? Do you really know yourself?

You remember only about 5 percent of what you hear. You remember 20 % of what you see. You remember 40 to 50% of what you see and hear. You remember up to 80% of what you see, hear and write and review. After 6 exposures to any material, spread over a period of time, you can achieve almost total recall.
You also learn and remember more if you have a clear purpose to learning, a purpose that affects you personally. If you set your goals for applying what you learn, you remember more.
You also learn faster if you discuss what you are learning and how it can be applied to your personal situation. Finally, you reinforce and expand upon what you’ve learned when you teach others.

This past weekend, I believe I accomplished the impossible! I awakened this morning in amazement. How did I get through a stage play? I had a very short time to prepare. Yes! I had a whole four days to become comfortable with two small parts in a play. My only motivation was to relate myself back to the days when I was on stage playing my instrument. Ok….I was hiding behind my instrument. What you do you think everyone!

I’m not sure why greed gets in the way of the simple law of give and take? For Example, I attend network meetings often. I feel that most of the people who put together these meetings are there not to help people connect but they are their to help themselves. I believe people don’t put passion into what they start. If you are going to provide a good service…don’t expect to get back…be grateful. If you are going to start something…you must be clear on why you are in the game. Tell me what you think?

I awakened early this morning and I had this great idea to write a self help book. I have never written a book before but I have many concepts from other books I read in the past. I want to get this written and published but not sure how to go about it? Does anyone have any experience or ideas about this subject?

I finally met my own cycling goal today that I have been trying to reach for the past 6 months. I finally broke the barrier in my mind. I accomplished this by doing some small talk with a woman who also cycled. We were both resting at the bottom of a steep hill. She told me that she too had been riding for the past four years. Her training regimen was much harder than mine. She mentioned to me that she rode 3 times a week. I was thinking to my self….”How lucky I was to get in one ride a week” My usual routine would be to ride 8 miles to the bottom of the hill and rest before I made a three mile incline. I told here that I was going to tackle the whole six mile incline some day. She replied, that it wasn’t too bad and that I could do the whole thing if I paced myself. I decided to precede up the hill by myself, so I could go at my own pace. As I approached the top where I would usually rest for a few minutes, the woman that I met 10 minutes earlier zoomed by me saying “follow me!” I still had three miles to climb and I wasn’t feeling to energetic. I new that I had to tackle my fear some day and today was the day. In the past, I would get off my bike a walk the last 1/10 of a mile up a 13% grade hill. I ride a 18 speed bike in 1st gear and that wasn’t enough to get it done. I became “the train that could” at this point because I knew in my mind if I got off my bike. The woman would be waiting at the top of the hill to tell me that I could have finished the ride… if I simply paced myself. My point being….it is all about connecting with people. We are all connected in some way or another. You can’t do everything by yourself. A little motivational help can go a long way!

I had an major break through today at work. I was told by my new one on one trainer that I was being too negative when I answered her questions. I replied, ” I am actually being sarcastic” Are we being funny or negative? My inner voice was talking to me, ” I will be training with her for the rest of the day? I am trying to lighten up the air.” More importantly, I have to listen to rhythm, tone and accent of her voice. How can I stay focused so long? Any thoughts anyone…?

I just got back from a trip to Sedona Arizona. I stayed at the Radisson Poco Diablo. I got an upgrade to my room because I mentioned that it was my birthday. On Saturday morning, I went to breakfast at the Enchantment resort. I had the best breakfast of my life! I started the meal with a view of a lifetime; the boynton canyon in the red rock country. I had fresh squeezed orange juice, an incredible whole grain waffle with warm prickly pear cactus syrup. The syrup was bright pink and was incredible with the fresh whipped cream, berries, and bananas. The gastronomic experience of a lifetime. Later that afternoon, I climbed Doe mountain to the top in thirty minutes. The Doe mountain had 360 degree, which allowed me to see most of Sedona. Later on that day, I went to the Mystic Bazaar store to find out were the Boynton Vortex was located. I discovered that I was a quarter a mile from one of the three vortex hot spots in the world. The woman at the store mentioned that it was next to the Enchantment Resort which was located between two huge red beautiful mountains. Their are three different vortexes located in Sedona. This particular vortex is said to balance your masculine and feminine vibrations.

I attended a workshop the other night presented by a well known Vocal coach who specializes in Vocal teaching/Coaching/Sight Singing/Vocal Rehabilitation. He mentioned to us how he wanted to start a new class on every day speaking. I was somewhat confused why he was now going back to teaching speech class. He use to teach this class years ago. I attended this class to see if losing my New England Accent would make a difference in my social and business life. I was quit amazed to find out that my speech needed to be cured. He explained to us how most people have this speaking disease. I have been searching within myself since this meeting. Do we change the way we sound and look to get better results in life? Let me know what you think….
